This spring, several McLane leaders were recognized with prestigious honors reflecting their accomplishments and impact. We’re proud to celebrate these individuals who elevate our company and represent McLane with distinction. 

Susan Adzick, President of McLane Restaurant, was named a 2026 Laureate to the Junior Achievement of Dallas Business Hall of Fame. Junior Achievement inspires and prepares young people to succeed in a global economy. Susan was recognized for her exceptional leadership and positive impact on the Dallas community, spanning business excellence, visionary and innovative leadership, and community involvement. Susan assumed the role of President of McLane’s restaurant business unit in 2020 and oversees 45 distribution centers across the U.S. that serve more than 34,000 QSR, fast-casual, casual, and fine-dining restaurants. An established leader in the foodservice industry, Susan serves as vice chair for the International Foodservice Distributors Association board of directors and previously held board positions with the National Restaurant Association Education Foundation, National Restaurant Association, Women’s Foodservice Forum, and Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas.  

Charles Freeman, Regional Vice President, was honored with the Booker T. Washington Trailblazer award by the NAACP Temple Branch. The NAACP and its members are the premier advocates for civil rights, campaigning for equal opportunity while seeking to remove all barriers of racial discrimination. The Trailblazer award honors individuals with extraordinary achievements and unwavering commitment to breaking barriers in their field, and innovators who have paved the way for youth to dream big and aspire to achieve greatness. Charles is a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he earned the prestigious General Douglas MacArthur Leadership award. Charles joined McLane in 2013 and, in his current role as Regional Vice President, oversees retail distribution centers in the western U.S. His achievements reflect his professional success and a deep commitment to service, mentorship, and community impact.  

Murat Genc, Chief Information and Digital Officer (CIDO), was a finalist in the Dallas ORBIE Awards. The ORBIE represents the highest standard of achievement in technology, security, and marketing industries, recognizing leaders who drive business value and meaningful change in their organizations through strategic vision, management accomplishments, and a commitment to serving others. Murat has served as McLane’s CIDO since 2024 and has made significant advancements to McLane’s technology infrastructure, leading one of the most impactful digital and data transformations in the company’s history. Under his leadership, McLane’s intelligent digital foundation for growth and value has achieved remarkable results, empowering McLane to continue delivering the best for its customers.  

Juan Gomez-Sanchez, Vice President of Information Security, will be inducted into the CSO Hall of Fame in May. The CSO Hall of Fame honors leaders who have significantly contributed to advancing information risk management and security. Inductees exemplify the qualities of leadership and excellence and, by their example, contribute to improving security across all organizations. Juan joined McLane in 2025, bringing more than 25 years of experience in information security at organizations including Whirlpool, Lennar, and Delta. He has been recognized as one of the top 50 CISOs in the U.S. Through principled leadership and deep expertise, Juan continues to raise the standard for information security, protecting organizations from threats and risks. 

These recognitions highlight the strength of McLane’s leadership across the company and the meaningful ways they contribute to our company, industry, and communities. We congratulate each honoree on these well-deserved accolades and thank them for the dedication and vision they bring to McLane every day.
