iPhone App Is A Hit With Pizza Hut
10/30/2009 - DURHAM, N.C. -- Three months ago Pizza Hut invested in an iPhone app and its benefits are paying off. The app has generated more than $1 million in sales.
Pizza Hut is the first national pizza chain to introduce an ordering app for the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch. Found in the iTunes Lifestyle Category, the app gives customers the option to use an innovative way to order their pizza, pasta and wings from Pizza Hut. Customers also save 20 percent for each order placed through the app.
“Reaching $1 million in sales with the app emphasizes the value of ordering innovation to our customers and how important it is for Pizza Hut to continue to create successful new ways to engage with them," said Brian Niccol, Pizza Hut chief marketing officer, in a press release.
The Pizza Hut App is available from the App Store on iPhone and iPod touch or at itunes.com/appstore, and a video demoing the application's features and functionality can be found at pizzahut.com/iphone.
