Benefits at a Glance
We care about the well being of our teammates. We offer a full spectrum of benefit programs for our teammates and their families.
Medical, Dental, Vision
McLane offers a variety of comprehensive medical and dental plans, along with a vision plan. The national medical plans are PPO networks giving you access to the largest national networks of physicians available, plus direct access to a full range of specialists. You have the option of choosing the best network and payment structure for you and your family. McLane supplements a large portion of the premiums for medical insurance.
Flexible Spending Accounts
McLane offers both health care and dependent care spending accounts. These accounts offer significant tax savings by allowing you to set aside pre-taxed money from your paycheck to pay for child care costs and medical and dental expenses that are not paid by your health and dental plans.
Retirement Plans
McLane offers a 401(k) Profit Sharing Plan, which has had a generous (discretionary) match for the past several years. Eligibility begins after you have completed 90 days of service. In general, you may defer 1% to 50% of your salary on a bi-weekly basis.
Life Insurance
Full-time teammates are provided, at no cost, basic term life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance in the amount of one times your salary (with a minimum of $30,000 and a maximum of $50,000). You have the option to purchase additional life insurance for you, your spouse and your child(ren).
Short-Term Disability
McLane’s short-term disability coverage provides partial income protection if you become disabled and cannot work due to a non-work-related injury or illness.
Long-Term Disability
Long-term disability is offered to all full-time teammates. This benefit will supplement a portion of lost income due to a serious injury or health condition for an extended period of time.
Educational Assistance
In helping you pursue your educational goal, you are eligible for up to a maximum of $3,000 per calendar year in reimbursement of tuition and books. Courses eligible for reimbursement are those that will benefit you in your position or career with the company and will lead to an academic degree, certification or license.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
The EAP provides confidential, professional short-term counseling to help teammates in resolving problems that are difficult to deal with alone. In addition to counseling, it provides work/life benefits and health and wellness programs. This benefit is provided at no cost to you.
Vacation/Time Off Benefits
The amount of vacation time that you are eligible for depends upon your length of service. A new teammate will receive two weeks of vacation on January 1st after completing a full year of service. Three, four and even five weeks of vacation are earned at certain milestones throughout your career.
Holidays
McLane offers six paid holidays and one personal holiday per calendar year.
